SENSI-SWITCH (ribbon switch) 

The Sensi-Switch is ideal as an emergency shut-off device, offering a finger-tip safety switch for conveyors, industrial machinery, material handling equipment, assembly lines, power operated doors, automated guided vehicle systems, or anywhere an emergency-shut-off device is essential for safety. The Sensi-Switch can span the entire length of a conveyor, putting automatic safety or operation control at each employee's fingertips. Just a simple press can activate an alarm or shut down a system.

Used as a limit switch, it is tailor made for safety applications. Flexible, it bends and conforms to just about any shape, with a minimum bending radius of 1.000”. The electrode, molded in durable urethane, is specially tempered stainless steel. Activation pressure approximates the 3-5 pound range, but can be tailored to your specific activation requirements. Contaminants can't get inside the tough urethane strip because of its molded construction. Recommended for indoor use only.  The Sensi-Switch is designed for light activation and is not to be used in vehicle sensing.

Sensi-Switch comes in modular sections up to 10-ft. long, longer lengths are available upon request.  It's flexible, fully insulated and sensitive along its length.

Sensi-Switch contacts are specially tempered stainless steel and will not rust or corrode.  Sensi-Switch is long on protection and extremely economical.  Lead exits can be designed to your specific requirements.

An extruded aluminum mounting track is available for mounting the Sensi-Switch. The Sensi-Track is cut to length with mounting holes and mounting hardware supplies. Maximum track length is 12.0 feet.

SENSI-SWITCH SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Molded urethane half circle configuration with .500” radius
  • High yield stainless steel contacts S.P.S.T. normally open switch, 24V AC/DC
  • Standard sensitivity is 3 – 5 lb., custom sensitivity available
  • 2.0’ 18 AWG 2-conductor lead standard. Additional lead lengths and other cables available. (Quick disconnects, 4-conductor, etc.)
  • Standard lead exit is out the end of the switch, leads may also exit in the back of the switch, indicated by LEB (lead exit back) when ordering
  • Black, yellow, and red colors are standard
  • Standard lengths are in 1ft. increments, but any length may be manufactured.
